MAY 18th Blue Moon

How it can affect you.....

May's Blue Flower FULL Moon

taking a look at our SHADOW SELF.

18 May 2019, 22:11

What Is a Blue Moon?

Despite its name a Blue Moon rarely actually appears blue in the sky, but that's not to say it never does. Heard the saying “ONCE IN A BLUE MOON”?

The Blue Moon will peak in intensity on the weekend of Saturday, May 18, to Sunday, May 19. Here in the UK, the Blue Moon will appear in the late evening hours of Saturday, around 10.21pm BST. Unfortunately, after the Blue Moon passes this week, there will not be another chance to see the spectacle of nature for another two

years.

Blue moons are astrologically significant, so harness their energy for your benefit.

With this full moon you may be forced to look hard at your SHADOW SELF. (Your dark side)

The Full Moon on May 18th, 2019, is a potent and powerful one. Placed in the mighty sign of Scorpio, we can expect deep, intense emotions rising to the surface, to be processed and transformed. However, there is more to this Full Moon than meets the eye.

WE WILL BE MAKING RELEASE YOUR SHADOW SELF CANDLES on the 18th Place your order now.

This is a Blue “Flower” Moon – the “flower” comes from the fact that wild flowers are blooming all over the Northern Hemisphere around this time, and the “Blue” part of it is indicating that this is an additional, extra Full Moon within an astronomical season (which is the time between the last solstice and the next equinox). Usually, there are 3 Full Moons in any given astronomical season, but this year we have 4. Although this is mainly an astronomical phenomenon, we can certainly look at this Moon as something a little more special.

Energies affecting this Full Moon

Mars is the ruler of this Full Moon, and having just moved into the sign of Cancer, a sign he may feel a touch frustrated in, this Full Moon in Scorpio may be a dance of passive aggression. We will be asked to face and deal with conflict constructively, to honestly let go of old grudges or the need to be right.

Venus, ruling the sign of Taurus and therefore the Sun, joins together with the Titan Uranus, which further indicates the need for balance in our relationships, the balance of independence as well as a healthy togetherness. Venus with Uranus can indicate that we may suddenly have to let go of something, and be very flexible and adaptable indeed.

Tips for making the most of the Full Moon in Scorpio

  1. Face your shadow – Scorpio often represents the qualities we hold in shadow – take this time to face your own shadows, and gently forgive and be patient with these parts of yourself. Taurus is a sign of love and tenderness, which can balance out the harsher aspects of Scorpio.

  2. Balance peace with power – To much drama is always negative, but not enough drama is downright dull. Find the balance between these two and notice how your life becomes more interesting.

  3. Release the need to control – Uranus with Venus on the same day as the Full Moon can indicate change – and Scorpio and Taurus may sometimes hold on too tightly. Release any desire to control things and try to go with the flow.
