VOODOO AND POPPET DOLLS ~ WHITE WITCHCRAFT.

Voodoo is a powerful magical practice or craft that can bring about spectacular results and rewards to anyone who believes in it. Unfortunately over the years it has had a very bad press. There is no doubt that its has been miss used, however in the right hands this form of magick is extremely effective and certainly powerful.

Poppet dolls or Voodoo dolls.

There is no real difference between these types of doll. The idea is the same in many cultures. They are basically an effigy of an individual that will receive some form of energy from a practitioner. In witchcraft we tend to call them a poppet and have been used for good, or bad for centuries.

These dolls can be used for effective good in your own life or in the lives of others: for love, healing, protection, and success, just to name a few. Voodoo to some is a religion, to others it's a mystery, and to some voodoo or poppet dolls are simply a tool to promote change AND IMPROVE their life.

HERE are some simple tips and ideas.

Envision the person you have in mind. when making a voodoo doll. Picture the person you you would like TO BENEFIT from your magic or energy. Poppet doll and voodoo, largely depends upon the connection between you and the voodoo recipient’s spirit. It's therefore important that the doll you are making symbolizes the person who will receive the good magick in their life.

USE a picture. One of the ways to create a replica of a person is to use a photo. Print out a full BODY photo of the person, THEN sew it, or stick together onto fabric. Stuff the doll with stuffing.

Personal objects. Maybe you don't have a picture of the person you want to represent or you'd rather make a voodoo doll from something associated with that person. Add a lock of hair or piece of their clothing will serve this purpose. Add the hair as stuffing into the doll. Finger nails are traditionally used in both witchcraft and voodoo.

Clay dolls. Clay is a simple and natural way to make a poppet/ voodoo doll.

You can add hair and finger nails and as you shape the doll kneed in your spell and energy.

For a love poppet doll use pinks and reds. Add love herbs such as Marjoram or Mint. Add love potion and rose petals and tie a pink ribbon around the finished effigy. Use rose quartz and blue lace quartz amethyst and carnelian to surround the doll in moon light and make on a full or new moon.

Before you plan to use your voodoo doll you will need to clear it of all negative energy, and empower it in sun or moon light.

Place your doll on a clean flat surface and surround with crystals. I recommend that you place your doll in a pentagram and leave in sun light or full moon light for about 2 hours.

Now your doll is ready, cast your spell over it and bury in soil or throw into the sea.
